How Reddit monitoring works
Add keywords and subreddits
Track your brand, product names, competitors or phrases like "alternative to". Limit the search to chosen subreddits or leave it open, and exclude keywords or subreddits that only bring noise.
Choose what to capture
Monitor posts, comments or both, set a minimum score, and keep NSFW results out, which is the default.
Fetch and review
Fetch new mentions whenever you like. On Elite, OutReply also checks automatically in the background and notifies you about new, negative or high-engagement mentions.
Act on each mention
Mark it seen, replied, flagged or dismissed, add notes and tags, or reply from your connected Reddit account.
Listen for your brand and your competitors
A brand can run several listening profiles, each marked as your brand or a competitor. Keep one for your product name and common misspellings, one per competitor, and one for buying-intent phrases such as "alternative to" or "recommend a tool for". Each profile keeps its own keywords, subreddits and mention counts, so you can compare how often each name comes up and in what mood. For follower counts and growth on other networks, pair it with social media competitor tracking.

On Advanced and Elite, connect your Reddit account and reply to a thread, follow the author or send them a private message from the mention itself. On Elite, AI drafts the reply in the voice you describe, with do and don't rules, up to four example replies, an optional signature and an optional line that discloses your affiliation.

Is Reddit monitoring free?
Yes. Keyword monitoring with on-demand fetches and a sentiment label on each mention works on Free. Automatic monitoring, AI replies and lead scoring are part of Elite.
Can OutReply post replies on Reddit for me?
Yes. Connect your Reddit account on Advanced or Elite and reply to a thread from OutReply. On Elite, auto-reply can post AI drafts within limits you set, or run in dry-run mode so drafts wait for you.
How do I avoid looking spammy on Reddit?
Use the guardrails: reply only to positive or neutral mentions, skip low-karma and new accounts, cap replies per day, add a disclosure line and review drafts before they post. Read each subreddit's rules too.
Does it monitor comments or only posts?
Both. Each listening profile can capture posts, comments or both, and you can limit it to specific subreddits.
